Testing customer loyalty for Microsoft products – A Social Experiment

I dont know what or how Bill Gates did it, but 85% of the world business market still uses Microsoft products for the day to day running of their business.
Over the years, Microsoft products have become the very name certain tasks are described – For instance, a presentation is now called a powerpoint presentation, a spreadsheet is automatically assumed to have an .xls extension and a document is by default believed to be a “word document” – Now this must be some voodoo magic – I have never seen such following for a product – Or is it a following?
